I have to admit that I was pretty relieved to see that the theme for this week is "Made with Love". Nearly everything that I take a picture of is made with love whether it's food (of course), the latest games that my children have made up, or just the kids themselves.
So, here are my pictures from Week 2 for my p52 project:
Day 7: the locks at Seoul Tower definitely fit in with the "made with love" theme!
Day 8: Kennedy actually enjoying her food?! Unheard of! Had to get a snapshot of this one eating something "made with love"!
Day 9: As the mom, and therefore an outsider in this game, I did not have a clear idea as to what exactly they were playing on Monday evening. All I know is that neither of them had any pants on, they both had their "water" shoes on (and they're not normally allowed to wear shoes in the house), and the entryway was their lake. I liked this picture because it's focused on the foot that is on the ground while showing the movement of his other foot.
Day 10: The expression on Cade's face as they opened the package we got on Tuesday. Believe it or not, this is his excited, "Can you believe it?" face...
Day 10: The dishes we made while on the trip with the Korean Foreign Schools Foundation. Definitely made with love!
Day 11: The "stained glass window" that we made out of a sheet of clear plastic and torn tissue paper...an old preschool favorite!
Day 12: I have had this idea in my head of a set-up to create bokeh since about November...I finally managed to put it into action this morning. Unfortunately, I didn't have lights with white string...that would've helped, being able to get farther away from her would have been better, and having my laundry rack be a little wider would have lowered my chances of having it coming out of the top of her head, but what can you do? I'm not buying a bigger drying rack. I didn't even do her hair because I wasn't very optimistic they would turn out. This was the best I could get!
I think the first one of the locks from Seoul Tower is my favorite. So, that's it for Week 2: Made with Love! Remember: if you missed the whole story, you can click on the picture and it will lead you back to the original post.

ReplyDeleteGreat Pictures. Looks like the kids are enjoying themselves!
ReplyDeleteThe bokeh shot came out so well, great idea! I tried to get some during Christmas with our tree but I wasn't thrilled with the outcome.
ReplyDeleteYour bokeh shot came out awesome actually!! What settings did you have your camera on, if you don't mind me asking?
ReplyDeleteThanks! It was a lot of fun though they didn't turn out exactly as I'd hoped. Metadata: ISO 400 f/1.8 SS:1/160. I used my 50mm lens. She was about 2 feet in front of the lights and I was about 3 feet in from her. Good luck!
DeleteLove the bokeh picture! Stopping by from BTL.

I love the stained glass you made. What a great idea! Nice bokeh!
ReplyDeleteI really like your Made with Love photo. The depth of field is really nice. And a great job capturing the expression on your son's face as he opened the package. I love when I look back at pictures I've taken and realize I captured the exact moment I was going for.
