Week 6: Drink Up

That's right. We're six weeks into 2012! And, this was the longest week of the entire school year. Not just for me, either. Yes, it was my first week of full time. Yes, I could barely speak and couldn't think at all for the first few days of the week. But, it was also our Spiritual Emphasis Week. Which meant that we had a crazy schedule all week. None of us could keep up. More to do. Less time to do it in. You know. The usual.

That being said, I would have loved to have given this prompt its due and may have been more than willing to "drink up", but alas...I was just too tired. I was in bed absolutely no later than 8pm every night, and my drink of choice was coffee.

You will see that for many of my pictures, I interpreted "drink up" with the classic: coffee. But for the others, I took advantage of what I saw on campus this week: our students "drinking up" the Word of God! Enjoy!

Day 34: My bathing beauties...is it gross that they like to drink the shower water? I think it's gross!

Day 35: My morning coffee...I'm already missing slow mornings and re-heating my coffee four times before I get to drink it.

Day 36: The roaster at Le Cafe, my favorite coffee shop.

Day 36: Our students listening to our musical guests, Russell and Kristi.

Day 38: Students listening to our special guest and speaker, Dave Edwards.

Day 39: The middle school praise band performing with our musical guests for this week.

Day 40: My caffeine and hydration on the windowsill at school...the only way I make it through these long, crazy days!

I had a hard time picking a favorite for the week, but I think I like the one of the boys listening on Day 38. To be honest, they did not all look this alert all week. In this picture, I feel like they are really interested, listening to, and "drinking up" what the speaker had to say, and that makes me feel like this long, crazy week just might have been worth it!!

  2. I like how you're able to capture a different image of the theme each day. That's wonderful! I agree...the picture of the student intently focused on what is being said is a great image and well worth the effort that goes into one's week.
